The storm force wind in operation at that location at the time gusting up to 50+ mph made it feel less than magical at the time I can assure you :) Without the wind though, there wouldn't be any wave cloud to make the picture, so I guess it is a trade-off.

oh yeah, 50+ mph = not very fun! I'm impressed you were even able to take the picture.

I was in a lee just downwind of a small ridge so it wasn't too bad. Anytime you stepped out of the wind shadow you knew all about it though.
