Spectacularrr 2

Still in Te Anau.

Despite snow bound delays/adventures and added spectacularity, got to Milford Sound today.

Wow.

More explanation when I have associated pics.

Suffice to say it seems out of scale with the rest of the country. Looking from sea level almost vertically to a mile high peak is a novelty that hasn't worn off yet.

te anau may be one of the most beautiful places i know. in fact everywhere from te anau along the road to milford sound. when there is snow it takes my breath away...

Hope you enjoy the vista. I tried photographing it but it doesn't really work.

A friend got his Gucci camera and took massive stitched panorama shots. Still no good. You need a head and eyes to make any sense of it.

I tried to get stuff in the shots to demonstrate scale, but it will be really diificult to convey. Still we had blue skies and fresh snow which should help.
